This will be my third collaboration on the fabulous KinoVino project run by the marvellous Alissa Timoshkina. This time we'll be showing the film of one of my favourite childrens books, Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox. I read this over and over as a kid so it's a huge pleasure to be given the opportunity to recreate and be inspired by some of the food themes that appear in it. And it is a very culinary tale - in fact, apart from the theme of being chased, food is the most significant thread in the story. Not just the need for it, but also it's enjoyment and how important that is for bringing people together.
Both Roald Dahl and Wes Anderson are fantastic storytellers, and although the tale takes on lots of new flavours in Anderson's hands he holds true to Dahl's wonder in the amazing Mr Fox and the book's sense of excitement and adventure. Come and join us for a thrilling and delicious evening.
